The Renewal School of Ministry was founded by the Holy Spirit Renewal Ministries in 2020 for the purpose of encouraging ministry that brings renewal to the church in America. We continue with the same desire though our strategy is shifting to better meet the equipping & scheduling needs of our participants.
We will focus on offering monthly seminars (2 hours each) September through May of each year. These seminars can be viewed live via Zoom or as recordings at the convenience of your schedule. We will maintain the flexibility of offering 6-8 week courses as available. .

“Becoming Effective Ambassadors for Christ” – Clay Ford
This seminar will focus on the meaning of ambassadorship, especially as it relates to our being called and commissioned as ambassadors for Christ. Effective ambassadors: 1] must know and deeply understand the entity or persons they represent; 2] they must also know and deeply understand those to whom they are sent; 3] and they must be adequately prepared/equipped to faithfully represent the sender, being able to convey the heart, the mind, and the will of the one they represent to those to whom they are sent in the most effective way possible. Understanding the nature of ambassadorship in general, we will then explore the Scriptures to learn what it means for us to become more effective ambassadors for Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God.

“Healing a Church from Emotional and Spiritual Abuse” - John Piippo
In this seminar we will: take a close look at narcissism, not only in ministry leaders but also in church systems; offer compassion and hope for those affected by its destructive power and;impart wise counsel for churches looking to heal from its systemic effects.

“Spiritual Authority: Authority is Determined and Established by God” - Pamela Wantz
Daniel 4:17 and Romans 13:1 God establishes all civil, secular and church authority, and we are commanded to respect it. We will cover the Biblical precedence for spiritual authority and how there is no unity of the body without the authority of the head.

“Revitalizing Dying Churches” – John Grove
It’s concerning that so many churches have shrunk in attendance over the past five years. This even includes churches that are faithful to the gospel and the Bible! In this seminar we will examine several potential ways to re-ignite spiritual, and numerical growth. CAUTION!! God may stretch us to consider making (radical?) changes in our thinking and practices!

“Healing and Deliverance Seminar” – Steve Dominguez
Perhaps you or someone you know is suffering from mental torment, a chronic illness that doesn't seem to be treatable, addictive behavior, demonic visitations, unresolved trauma, or some situation that seems hopeless. In this seminar Steve will provide training and tools to help you be set free as well as help others. In this seminar you will learn what weapons of warfare a Christian has and how to use them. Examples will be given for how to address various spiritual strongholds, as this seminar is based on many years of experience Steve and his wife, Risa, have with inner healing and deliverance ministry.

Too frequently Christians seem to be entering into social media battles that may not reflect the love and mercy of God. Additionally, posts may be less than accurate. We will discover some ways we can best be light and salt in the age of social media.

“Learning from Wisdom: A Study of Proverbs” - Ed Owens
Spirit-filled Christians rightly emphasize the leading of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps we also need to reexamine the place of wisdom in our daily walk. In this seminar we will seek to understand Hebrew wisdom literature, their poetry structure, and the application of wisdom that is emphasized in the book of Proverbs.

I have bought a copy of Peter Wagner's book "How To Have A Healing Ministry--Without Making Your Church Sick". It's a great read thus far. Thanks again for all you have taught us.

The Holy Spirit and The Spirit Filled Life
What really stood out to me in that class was when someone talked about getting in the river. Clay had said that we are fine when we are up to our knees in water and even our chests, but when it gets over our heads is when we really have to rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us. A person in the class related that we can be filled with the Holy Spirit up to our knees, up to our chest or we can ask for more and have him fill us up over our heads, again and again. Clay's use of the stacking boxes as the gifts given to us that we have the opportunity to open or not was powerful. If we are given the option of opening the box or not, we may not open all of the gifts he offers us. I enjoyed all of the classes and will take a couple more next session.
