Renewal School of Ministry
The Renewal School of Ministry was founded by the Holy Spirit Renewal Ministries in 2020 for the purpose of encouraging ministry that brings renewal to the church in America. We continue with the same desire though our strategy is shifting to better meet the equipping & scheduling needs of our participants.
We will focus on offering monthly seminars (2 hours each) September through May of each year. These seminars can be viewed live via Zoom or as recordings at the convenience of your schedule. We will maintain the flexibility of offering 6-8 week courses as available.
Our previous core curriculum classes will remain available as recordings for purchase. These courses were recorded live by Zoom in six sessions of 1.5 hours each and will be available for purchase.
Future courses will cost $10 and the seminars are $5.
If you prefer to sign up for all 9 seminars per school year, we offer a discounted price of $30 per school year.
Please stay connected with us via our website as we occasionally offer a new 6-8 week course.

9/14/24: Intercessory Prayer and Prayer Walking Clay & Cherie Ford
Our world seems to be spinning out of control in so many ways. When it comes to changing things for the better, can you think of anything more important that you can be doing than intercessory prayer? In this seminar, Clay and Cheri will teach you from the Bible, and also from their own prayer experiences, how to pray prayers that have power! You will learn how to pray with purpose, passion, power, and perseverance as you seek God’s powerful intervention in our world (“Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!!”). You will also learn how to do prayer-walking and hear how effective it can be. Inspiring stories will abound!
9/16/24: Heaven, the Soul, and the Afterlife – WK1 Dr. John Piippo
You may have heard it said that some people are so heavenly minded that they are no earthly good. But turn this on its head and we see that some people are so earthly minded that they are no heavenly good. In this class we will focus on a Christian understanding of, and hope in, life after death.
We will respond to questions like these.
What happens to us when we die?
What will the afterlife be like?
How does the Bible describe the afterlife?
Why is it important to understand that you have a soul?
How can we know that persons have souls?
Will we be with our loved ones in eternity?
What will we do for all eternity?
How does belief in everlasting life inform how we now live on earth?
This is a four-week class on Monday nights @ 8-9:00 PM EST beginning Monday, Sept. 16, 2024.
Classes will be both live at Redeemer Church in Monroe, Michigan, and live-zoomed.
9/23/24: Heaven, the Soul, and the Afterlife - WK2 Dr. John Piippo
9/30/24: Heaven, the Soul, and the Afterlife – WK3 Dr. John Piippo
10/07/24: Heaven, the Soul, and the Afterlife – WK4 Dr. John Piippo
10/12/24: Identity Ross Lieuallen
This seminar will include a scriptural study and reflection of who we are in Christ: how we view ourselves: what our identity means to us in our culture; and how we can minister to others in our churches or culture for whom this idea of "identity in Christ" seems new or foreign."
11/9/24: Ecclesiastes: Ultimate Questions Billy Ford
12/14/24: Sorting Out Clashing Doctrines Ed Owens
Today’s church is rife with clashes over which doctrines we should believe. We will explore the core (orthodox) doctrines of the church and contrast them to the repeating unorthodox positions. We will then look at some of the doctrines which divide denominations. Through this study we will hopefully solidify the essential beliefs and weigh the relative strengths of disputed teachings.
1/11/25: Secret Sauce of Effective Church Leadership -
John Piippo, Clay Ford, John Grove
Churches today face many challenges. These veteran leaders will share the wisdom they have gathered from years of experience on how to tackle the many challenges. Your questions will be welcome.
2/8/25: Not Ashamed of the Gospel Dr. Clay Ford
Paul the Apostle penned the words, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel…” when the truth of the Gospel was being attacked, distorted, watered-down and otherwise perverted in his generation. He fought against these assaults on the Gospel with great fervency and authority, because he realized that people are saved only by the true Gospel. As in every generation, we are now facing a plethora of onslaughts against the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and we too must realize that only Christ’s true Gospel saves people for eternal life. In addition to defining what the Gospel is, this seminar will examine some of the assaults and distortions coming against it, both from our culture but also rising up within the church itself. We will look at some major inroads to deception and how to counter them. We will learn how to make our lives count in our generation, confidently standing firm and staying true to the Gospel, no matter what.
3/8/25 Learning from America’s Great Awakenings Ed Owens
We can learn a lot from previous experiences with the movements of the Spirit. We will discover together how God renewed his church in America and reached many with the gospel. We will conclude with some key lessons we can apply to our ministry today.
4/12/25: TBD John Piippo
5/10/25 TBD Ross Lieuallen

How to Minister to Addicted People Seminar
Clay Ford's class on the Holy Spirit was terrific. He's a great teacher and managed the Zoom learning environment well. It was neat to see classmates from all over the country!
I signed up for the class to learn about the Holy Spirit, but more importantly to learn to be Spirit-filled and more open to having the Spirit active in my life.
Classes are over, but the book, study guide, and class materials give me much to review, study, pray about, explore, and strive for. "Come Holy Spirit!"
Ross,
First I want to thank you for the class you taught, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have learned more about the healing ministry, and pray I will get more proficient as I move along in this ministry. I have bought a copy of Peter Wagner's book "How To Have A Healing Ministry--Without Making Your Church Sick". It's a great read thus far. Thanks again for all you have taught us.
God's Blessings to you
The Holy Spirit and The Spirit Filled Life
What really stood out to me in that class was when someone talked about getting in the river. Clay had said that we are fine when we are up to our knees in water and even our chests, but when it gets over our heads is when we really have to rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us. A person in the class related that we can be filled with the Holy Spirit up to our knees, up to our chest or we can ask for more and have him fill us up over our heads, again and again. Clay's use of the stacking boxes as the gifts given to us that we have the opportunity to open or not was powerful. If we are given the option of opening the box or not, we may not open all of the gifts he offers us. I enjoyed all of the classes and will take a couple more next session.
Blessings,
Thank you for checking out our courses offered at the Renewal School of Ministry
